- Mount Mayon on Luzon is considered one of the most beautiful volcanoes in the world. This volcano can be dangerous from time to time; in 2010, for example, surrounding villages had to be evacuated due to the danger of a volcanic eruption. In 2013, several mountaineers were killed in a volcanic eruption of Mount Mayon.
- Mt Pinatubo, near Angeles City, is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes.
